Pasighat

Pasighat is the oldest administrative center of erstwhile NEFA. It is situated on the banks of the mighty river Siang, the main tributary of the mighty Brahmaputra river. Perched at an elevation of 155 metres above sea level, the town is blessed with an enchanting scenic beauty of lush forests, majestic mountains, sparkling waterfalls and splendidly gorgeous hanging bridges. Pasighat also has to its pride, a rich culture which makes it a popular cultural tourism spot in the region; the ‘Pasi’ and ‘Minyong’ tribes inhabiting this quaint village are considered two of the oldest tribes of North East India which still follow their traditional customs with utmost passion till date.
